Knitting Pattern Round Up – SOCKS

This week’s Ravelry pattern round up is all about SOCKS.
Short ones, long ones, lacy ones, colour work ones,… the list goes on.
With the help of my trusted friend (a random number generator) I would like to bring to you a stunning selection of sock patterns. Doesn’t matter if you are a beginner knitter or have multiple WIPs going at the same time – this pattern round up has something for everyone. And like always there are quite a few free patterns included as well 🙂
You can find the complete Ravelry bundle here.
Let’s get into it..

“I designed these socks as part of the Easy Peasy Collection, which is beginner-friendly in colourwork knitting. The stranded pattern is easy to knit, with only two colours in one round and no more than 3 stitches of one colour pass.”

“Another quick, easy lace sock I designed for the Happy Trails Socks Book- fast & fun to knit, I like to make them a little taller than the sock pictured.”

by Lauren Rad
“These socks are knit from the top down with a ribbed cuff, heel flap and gusset, and wedge toe. They are graded to five sizes for a wider range of fit. The ribbing that runs the length of the sock helps keep them snug and supportive.”

by Yarnia Designs
“The Drip Drip Drop socks are inspired by clouds and raindrops, featuring a textured raindrop pattern and lace panels along the length of the sock which represent the trickle of water droplets.”

by Laura Jenkins – free pattern
“Fawkes Sawkes is a classic top-down design using a combination of cables and lace to create what I think (!) look like fireworks. As with many of my designs the pattern extends all the way down the heel flap, and a classic short-row heel/gusset construction make this pattern suitable for knitters looking for an advanced beginner/intermediate sock pattern.”

by Minna Metsänen – free pattern
“These strawberry socks are the sweetest pair of the summer. The thin Novita Venla yarn is a perfect choice even for intricate and detailed colourwork patterns.”

by Anna Zhuravleva
“Top down mid-calf socks with elegant lace pattern, heel Strong and toe shaping. Perfect for hand dyed and gradient yarns!”

by Kerri Blumer
“These classic socks update a traditional ribbed sock with a center cable and a little bit of textural interest. The Lady Grey socks have an eyelet rib to add a pretty element, while the Earl Grey version uses purl bumps to create a more masculine feel. There are five sizes offered to fit a range of feet, making these socks perfect for gifting or keeping as a special project for yourself.”

by Emily Weller
“These socks feature an elegant eyelet lace design, and are perfect for sunny summer days! The ultra-customizable pattern includes instructions for both a picot edge cuff and traditional ribbed cuff. It also includes two heel options and instructions for both mid-calf and shorty length.”

by KnittyMelissa – free pattern
“The inspiration for this pattern is Rhaenys Targaryen, from the book “A Song of Ice and Fire” and the television series “House of the Dragon.” “
I hope you found some inspiration and might even cast on one of these socks. Feel free to let me know in the comments which pattern was your favourite and which topic I should do next.
There are a lot more gorgeous patterns in this round up! You can find the complete selection in my Ravelry Bundle – Sock Pattern Round Up.
